Question: Coin Guard Merchandise Quest (Spoiler)

Anyone know if there's an alternate way to get the guards to move without making the laced drink since i don't have science 1, started with charisma 1 and not level 5 in the starting area to get the 2nd skill point or can we go back and do these quests later ?

wear a sailor shirt. A bunch are in chests around the area. Beware though, as the quest glitched for me after completing the mission.

Nice of the game to let you know that is a mechanic that can be used successfully.

Ah doh, yeah might have vendored the armor with science on it crud oh well guess ill remember to do that on a new playthrough to take science first my guess or make sure to keep a chest piece with a +1

God forbid the developers make the starting area a PROPER tutorial of the game's mechanics, that would be too hard. I don't mind going in circles wondering what to do, but it would be nice if the beginning of the game explained that's what you have to do, so you understand the possibility at least.

Not sure what you mean,i literally got a tip in game,to wear a sailor uniform in order to walk freely without a fight in their Naut territory and was able to smoothly complete the quest.

Didn't see a tip, didn't expect to see a tip.

So can we not complete the quest? I've done everything now i got a permanent quest to go back and talk to the coin guard quartermaster. doesnt show up on map, but i went to him, we spoke of it, but the quest doesnt complete.

The last stage refers to the OTHER Coin Guard Quartermaster in New Serene. (The quest starts in "old" Serene.) It continues on the other island.

I think I only had 1 or 2 Charisma and had an option to distract them.

I would do some other side quests first, though. You can level up a couple of times with the other quests and they aren't as demanding. The Coin Guard quests is one of the tougher ones.

there was a pop up tip the first time you enter the warehouse area.. so the dev did put it in, you must have missed it some how

I got a sailors uniform after I stealthily killed the guards in the harbormaster building. I then put on the complete outfit walked right up to the warehouse and talked to the guards and they left.

It is actually listed as a step in the quest log too or maybe that was the harbormaster quest. Although maybe they should mark things like that "optional"
