It wouldn't bother me, but I can see how it would irk you. Keep in mind these are European devs, and they generally are more focused on mechanics than they are style. Unlike north American devs that care more about looks and style than mechanics.
well you know.. bows are ancient technology.
From the videos I saw, it appears that NPCs sheathed weapons are visible so why not your character?
If i had to guess, i would say that only non fighting npcs have sheated weapons that are visible, because they are static meshes attached to their armor.
Yes, but if you sheat your weapon, it just disappears, it doesn't remain on the side of your character. That's what we are talking about
LOL. Back in the day, story and game play was important. :)
I found the video where one of the comments mentioned what I said, scroll down to the 13th comment by "TheJohnkol". They say it's just an early developer build. So there is hope, I guess. But that would mean all the youtubers/twitchers/whatevers are playing the early build as well.
It is (and it looks promising in this department) but immersion is just as important and it's just weird. Also, even Gothic 1 had visible sheathed weapons and that game is ages old. I can't even think of a RPG right now where you your sheathed weapons just become invisible.
Why should a 2019 game remind you of an old ass game like morrowind, you have too ask yourself this?
