The Surge is just another of the thousands of DS rip-off games this time with a coat of mech paint.
Code Vein is the exact same thing with an anime coat of paint.
Out of the three options GreedFall seems to have the best story and combat. I'd wait until TS is at least 75% off. CV I wouldn't play even if someone else bought it for me. :P
i didn't like the surge for artistic reasons (but it's probably the best 3d dark souls clone)
And i support spider since forever because they are french.
they are trying to do cool rpg games but always mostly fail to deliver.
I hope this time will be the good one.
I don't know about code vein, but I would go for GreedFall.
But not many 17th century sword guns and magic RPGs. Lol
For me it feels a void that I've been missing. So many games nowadays are solely focused on the players and not story.
Division 2/Destiny 2/ Borderlands 3
Fortnite/ Apex/ PubG
Plus so many anime games
SAO / Nino Kuni / Nier / code vein
The list goes on...
But what gets me about Greedfall is the fact it reminds of the classics Witcher/Fable/Dragon's Dogma/etc.
I know it won't be up to par with those games, but it'll have it's moments and I know I'll enjoy them.
If the Surge would release first then it would be the other way around.
