There's heavier suits on some of the soldiers in the screenshots, but I suspect we'll not be traipsing through the countryside in that when we're meant to be a diplomat :)
I second this, though the more elaborate style suits certain settings. Sometimes warriors must also be diplomats. As a show of power can be a very strong negotiation tool.
So I'd like to see some interesting armors in this game, not just half plate designs.
There were some tribal armor designs (animal skull helmets / etc) so I do think they will likely have armors of the era in the game.
