Unfortunately there is no way of checking how you are doing.
You advance your relationship by doing their personal quests, talking to them, and picking the right conversation choices. It is probably wise to save before talking to them as the game won't tell you if you pick the wrong choice.
I got ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ friendzoned in a videogame.
siora likes you opening up about your own mother. she prefers you asking about her childhood rather than saying you're glad you didn't end up with her 'fiercer' sister. like that would honestly set off a real women (or man) if you said that so i think it was a good dialogue lol.
aphra likes you being inquisitive but is a low key romantic. just don't go gunning for her. she needs to realise she likes you first. if you just hit on her in the first conversation she just thinks your a f**k boy and loses interest. again, pretty sure thats extremely realistic lol.
if you're really struggling just save before the important convos. it takes seconds to reload and there's only ever like 3 options. but i think the developers did a good job with it. rudimentary. but i felt like each companion had a personality. and the only way to romance them was to comment in line with their personalitys or what they found attractive
I agree, research it online, It’s not that big a deal, but you can miss it, You can only romance one eligible companion, and it’s best you read up in advance. This is several steps below Fallout 4 romancing companions. Playing a girl, I romanced the Naut Captain Vasco and conversations are a bit stilted imo, so it’s not as if you are missing much, There was some talk of sailing together in the future, yawn. :D I really wanted to romance Siora, but missed that because at the time, I did not realize only one companion can be fully romanced.
