Am I crazy, or did they use Witcher 3 voice actors for this?
People keep saying this game reminds them of the Witcher 3, which I havent been able to wrap my head around. I dont see the resemblance at all, other than the fact that they're both RPGs.

But as I started to play through the campaign, Ive repeatedly noticed VERY familiar voices. Now Im almost convinced that they're using many of the same voice actors from the Witcher, and its the cause for the familiar feeling to Witcher 3.

That guttural and croaky low-pitched peasant voice from Witcher 3 in Petrus and other Greedfall characters... Some of the females have the same voice as the little girl from the swamps in Witcher 3. One character even sounded identical to Roche.

Am I tripping out here, or has anyone else noticed this?

Because the questing has a lot of narrative elements in it.
The game is far more similar to witcher 2 than w3. But who played w2 :^)

Yup a few of the same voice actors are in the game.
Its mainly noticeable with a few other NPC who are voiced by the same actor who did Caleb Menge in Witcher 3 and some other characters.
The voice actor of Roche is also in Greedfall. Petrus is voiced by the same actor who did Eredin in Witcher 3. And so on.
Which is not that strange, both games have been made by a European studio so they most likely had a similar voice actor pool to choose from that region.

Also some Dragon Age Inquisition actors. Blackwall & Dorian were easy to pick.

Of course! Voice production was sourced to SIDE, they're the same guys who handled the voice work for The Witcher 2, 3 and Dragon Age: Inquisition. They're probably the best video game voice acting studio in the world. So glad to see Spiders stepped up their game by getting these guys.

Thronebreaker is such a great and underappreciated game. Spent 50 hours on that and was simply amazed at the story choices and voice acting.

Well it is Gwent plus story. Still fun though. If you like Gwent.

Not crazy about Gwent, but if the story is more than just window dressing i'm still interested (wasn't crazy about the gameplay itself in Witcher 3, but the storytelling / characters / quests / world were amazing)

Uh, I thought Thronebreaker was extremely lame. Although the voice acting, by the same company who did Witcher, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Vampyr and Greedfall was superb as always.
