I take it you are not a fan of borderlands.
The combat keeps me going in Borderlands. But your right there is a lot of loot.
Most of the loot you get in borderlands is useless. Then you find just that one weapon and sell everything else. So I get what you are saying. Needs to be more unique items/weapons and not to many usless stuff with loot to make it worthwhile. Otherwise whats the point.
If you really think that then stay far away from the Borderlands games.
On normal or lower the game is a complete joke
Chests do respawn. But with rng loots
Yeah this I find is a problem. Especially considering how the games systems work for things like talent points. You want some gloves for crafting, but you probably want a chest for lock picking and science and also crafting.
If you've got a traps/bombs build all those consumables also add up very quickly.
