Just finding the lack of the MC(player character) even acknowledging themselves, to be underwelhming :/
If its a plot device, I should at least get some explanation by now ? :/ Not just natives hinting you look like them <.<
Also there are plenty of white skinned natives, they are about as diverse as the mainland factions.
Some small spoilers:
The "green thing" in your face is a mark you get if either yourself or your parents have "bonded" yourself to the island. Its what gives the native sorcerers their magic power.
Ever asked yourself why your main character is the only person capable of magic from your faction?
The only other mainland faction with magic is Theleme and the reason for that gets also revealed later.
In your first conversation with Siora you can say that you find the birthmark to be ugly.
