Unavoidable reputation loss with islanders?

I have faced the

islander king in order to save Constantin

and I had no choice but fightning and killing him.

Then I had to talk to another guy in a village, and even if he knew that I helped him before and more than once he still doubts of me because I killed to other guy (and I HAD to) and I lost 3 reputation points immediatly. No dialogue options, no chance to use charisma or whatever.

Is this intended to work this way? :|

I also lost rep when killed Cera too so total -4 or something. I guess it's intentional unless we missed something

Yep, happened for Cera to me as well... and I even lost 1 point with Siora.

I don't know what I could have missed... maybe having other characters in my party? Because I did almost everything to that point, so I do have a high reputation, and helped a lot of islanders.

Still that guy didn't trust my word, and I lost rep.

I'm not at that point in the game yet, but considering how easy it is to gain reputation with the islanders, I think this minor loss of reputation is negligible, and same goes for Siora. Your good rep outweighs this by far.

I was still Friendly after both those events, having sided with the Islanders wherever possible.

-4 reputation during the main story is unavoidable.
But you get so many chances to get positive reputation during the game, it does not really matter.
By the end i must have had +25 reputation points against those -4 from killing Cera and the high king.

I was worried because I already did all the secondary missions, so I was already friendly with them and I didn't know how many chances I had to improve the rep again.
But shortly after I gained other 4 points, so... ok.

Anyway, I found it strange to lose those points, since because of the high rep I had they should have trusted me without problems (like others did in their dialogues).

Not a big deal tho.
