Superstar Employees - how to get + questions
From reading the forums, I assume you simply have an expert level recruiter (or expert CEO in recruiter mode) recruit expert level employees of the desired type. (After of course completing the Space-based Solar Power Investment Project).

1. Does this work? I'm not having luck yet, though I've admittedly only tried with 2 expert level recruiters for 20 days. Maybe I can't recruit superstar managers at all?

2. On that note, what employee types may be superstars? Managers? Recruiters? HR? SysAdmin? I assume obviously the critical 3 -- Devs, Designers, and Lead Devs.

3. Is there any benefit to 'managing' recruiters or providing them with HR? Do they work any faster (they don't seem to).

Thanks in advance, and if dev reads, love how much this game has been polished since early to mid-beta.

OK, I can provide limited partial answer to myself.
22 expert recruiters working 5 days yielded 3 sporadic superstar Lead Developers, each with a gold star by their names, and there was a notification on the left. Sorting by level was useless as they are simply talented experts, but sorting by speed surfaced them.

Hi there,

Here goes:

1. They are very rare. Hiring more recruiters obviously increases the chance.

2. All employee types can be superstars.

3. Right now, they will only recruit more candidates in less time. In next update there will also be another reason to but them under HR control.

Thank you very much, I'm glad you like it!

Best,
Jonas

I know this is a pretty old bump.

Superstar employees seem to rare to me right now. Im gaining a couple mill a day, unlocked superstars, and am basically just waiting on the game at this point.

Also, I dont see any option to even add headhunters to managers?

Superstar employees can only be found when searching for "Expert" level employees, the other two options (Beginner and Intermediate) don't have ANY superstars (I tested). By year 40 I had successfully replaced all ~260 of my employees with superstars. They seem to range from 600-900 maxed base skill. (normal experts are like to 250-400 or so and the best beginner fully trained from 200 will max around 450-490ish as an expert).

So a superstar on average with 750 base skill is ~160% as effective as even the best handpicked and handtrained non-superstar. If you run a setup with tons of HR+Managers then basespeed becomes less impactful. And to the above person, headhunters can be easily added to managers, open the manager window and you will see sliders to add the Headhunters.

I personally used 4 teams (=32) of headhunters while replacing my entire company with superstars, now I downscaled to two teams (16) and I find a superstar pretty much every day (usually 1-3 superstars per day). I still like to let headhunters nonstop recruit to replace weaker superstars with good superstars (eg replace a 620 rated with a 880 rated). Superstars really only come in super handy once you run out of room, because otherwise you could achieve the same result with just hiring more non-superstars.

tldr: Only expert level can be superstars, all jobroles can be superstars, skills are 600-900 base, I found around 1-3 superstars per day with 16 headhunters.
