Any guides on how to install mods?

I tried installing once but it crashed so I have to uninstall it, I would like to have a video or guide to follow step by step!

As far as I know, mods after downloading have an executable file you open, which is usually a .jar file. If the .jar file opens a new window of File Explorer with a bunch of random files, go back and copy the files that are in the base game and replace the base game's files with the mod's files.

Basically just copy paste all the files from the mod folder to your main AOC2 folder. That usually works for 90% of mods.
The other 10% usually come with a README.
