AI too aggresive? or scripted?
I would like to be able to play a match where the ai is not so aggresive, i end up being attacked by several countries for no reason and no real life accuracy, i already tried putting the ai aggro to the minimum (50%) and i always get the same conflicts repeating

There happens to be a thing called diplomacy (woah?!?!?!?!), you should consider using it.

wow. an uneducated rude and ironic otaku, that's a whole new level of low self esteem, and yes i already tried to use diplomacy (if repeatedly sending a diplomat to increase relations aka pressing a button can be called diplomacy) i don't have to be as clever as you to do that, right? or maybe my lower IQ is making me blind to some incredible mechanic that only low self esteem otakus understand?

Wow, thanks for making me laugh just because I'm some "rude and uneducated otaku". You're probably an American (who are even more uneducated than me).

i am not an American, i'm from Argentina. and i don't think you had the need to be rude as you answered someone just asking a question.

The AI's aggressiveness does depend on the aggression level you put it on, but most of the time it's completely random. Azure was right; you should have been increasing relations with other nations or sending them gifts. (i've found that sending gifts actually does increase your relation with other nations). Furthermore, if the AI that are attacking you are in alliances, then you're likely always going to get the same conflicts. If you want to be as close to real life as possible then you're going to have to set up alliances yourself & set up events instead of just hoping that AOH2's absolutely abysmal AI can actually manage to replicate WW2.

Thanks a lot for your answer, i will try to put more attention to alliances and a bit of customization

well this Azure person coudln't properly read what i asked i never stated i didn't used diplomacy, i said i RANDOMLY get attacked. i never really asked how to develop relations with other nations. but he was too busy trying to be a troll and uplift his low self esteem trying to be rude to other persons and didn't understood properly that i was getting random and unrealistic wars (Israel at war with USA????) and silly conflicts like Lithuania attacking Taiwan no matter what i did.

dude. the azure guy is like the most active guy here on this dying game, and i respect him fully, he helped me before. oh and, let me begin.
it is not supposed to be 1:1 real, i have seen many times italy declare war on germany in ww2. well, if you get a really bad diplomacy score,, they might declare war. you are forgetting the fact that if you improve with 1 nation, you make your relationships even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with that country's rivals. he is not a troll, you are just not the smartest tool in the shed. those happen. i had ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ chad declare war on me when i was switzerland, it happens. oh and america vs israel, is realistic tbh, glad to see them get crushed irl.

yeah sure very realistic! and also a lithuania vs taiwan is also a very realistic conflict too!. i can see you have lots of geopolitical knowledge, USA VS Israel it's not a realistic scenario at all. i am not sure what you had eaten. and you have literally nothing to assume i am smart or not. you're just angry because you're friend looked like a fool., and you want to impress him. not my issue or my problem. my question was simple. is there a way for the game to stop launching scripted events? specially between countries i am not even controlling? you both took this as a chance to try to look all clever. but ended up fooling yourself having ZERO reading understanding and bumping a bunch of nonsence. oh and also you respect a lot a guy who actually wrote " GAME IS TOO HARD" on a victoria II review??? and come here to pretend to be clever? also his review on this game is " RANDOM CONFLICTS HAPPENING" please. go troll somewhere else

"The game is terrible. Many bugs, some capitals are wrong (at least some us states), people declare war for no reason. You're just mindin' your own buisness, then boom! A country attacks you without you even knowing it. Way too many bugs, ya got dead people ruling your country, and its weird. I made a WW1 scenario and FDR is leading the country, FDR wasn't even president at the time. The game always like to save when I'm in the middle of a war, which is seriously annoying, alliances are pointless. Your allies just constantly refuse for a truce, especially when you're starting to get pushed back from the defenders. Game still saves even when I disable auto-save (or 0 turns between autosave), leaders don't even change when changing ideologies (like Hitler still ruling Germany even though I turned into a democratic or whatever nation), the devs just continue to add stuff and not even fix bugs. Also, rebellions are annoying. They take huge chuncks of land, and assimilating provinces are annoying. All in all, I don't recommend this game. Just get hearts of iron or something better than this trash."

that's LITERALLY the review he posted on this game, and after 1000 hours of playtime he kinda figuered how to play so he comes to act like a pompous ignorant to tell people "UHHH THERE IS A THING CALLED DIPLOMACY DUHH"

you two are just trying to defend each other over a total dead thread, the guy was ignorant and rude to come and tell someone "UHH GO AND LEARN TO USE DIPLOMACY UHH CAN YOU USE IT" i don't know where are you guys from, but where i come from if someone needs help you just ignore it and mind your own business, or just lend a hand , your path was just to act like an APE from the stoneage and try to make the person asking look less clever

oh i just checked and Azure spent 2.100 hours playing this (19hrs when he wrote the review) so he spent nearly ONE STRAIGHT DAY sitting playing this game and couldn't figure out the mechanics he was being a jerk about before coming to the forums to try to look clever!! you think victoria !! is too hard so you come and spend 2.100 hours on a way much simpler game, and yet try to tell people they're nos smart enough without even understanding the question? and also you get one weird fan of yours to come to defend you?

I'm not good at strategy games because I'm not good at complex things, so I play the most simplest thing there is. Yes, I have 2.1k hours at the game, I've been playing pretty much everyday since 2k19, albeit most hours were just from me idling with the game on with my PC off since I never played anything else at the time. Anyways stop complaining about pointless things

Also about my review, yeah it's stupid but I was a stupid moron at the time of making it. Who cares.
