why age of history??
ok so lukasz jawoski,if you read this,can you explain to us why you had to change the name age of civilization to age of history??

i mean i don't understand why this change,if anyone know the answer,please let me know...

He said on the forum "I Had to change the name"
I guess that Firaxis games (devs of Civilization games) threatened with legal action, and Lukasz decided to change the name to avoid that.

yes i ve seen this theory,and i supose it's this too,but it could be nice from the dev to have a clear explanation of what exactly happen and having a clear explanation from himself could explain well better what happen...

anyway if this is really firaxis games who threat him with legal action that suck for sure,but i mean,it's not legal to just own the word civilization on steam,that's a bit being a tyran,if someone have to been sued for illegal action,it's firaxis game for detaining a right from a stupid word and not lukasz jawoski who "age of civilization" was a legitime title for a good game...

I agree, changing the name without an official statement visible to everyone is strange.

I gues that`s business. I agree, its weird because civilization is just a word, but business is really hard and everything is about money

well maybe that's buisness,but it's not a reason for firaxis game to threat to sue other devs who have the word "civilization" in their games,firaxis games don't have the right to be the only one to have "civilization" in their title...

and age of civilization was a little game who all we ask is to let player play the game if they are interested and to let the game be independant...
