steam 0bytes-0bytes

steam only download 0 bytes from the game and says the instalation is completed but i cant play.
i changed servers and delete steamcache but nothing works.

It seems that I have the same problem, whenever i click install the game, steam doesn't show required space and game is ready to play without any download.

I bought steam key from hear https://stacksocial.com/sales/the-star-wars-jedi-knight-combo-pack-for-mac and other people have the same problem.

Same problem, i wonder if this is a steam problem or the game key is broken?

I did contact steam support, but that is gonna take a week to get an answer.

Funny thing is, even though steam downloads 0 data, when i try to validate files it says 100% ok, which means its steam fault, they have 0 data assigned to the steam key stack social gave us...

Well people at stacksocial said that game is not compatible with Windows 7 or 8 64 bit and they are working to fix this, but I already had this game a while ago just not on steam and it ran smoothly on Windows 7.

The guys at stack social have no idea what they are talking about, that game is compatible with win 7 64 bit.

Whats more, we dont have a problem with the game, its the steam download that has no files for us...

Have same issues won't install anything never downloads anything. academy works fine though it got to be a steam problem

I have the same problem. I noticed that when I was installing it, it said something about "Mac Comp" in the game version. Could they be giving out the wrong keys at stacksocial?

I don't think this is a general problem with Steam, whatever they say -- Windows 7 64 bit is hugely popular now, people would have noticed if the game weren't working on it. It's obvious stacksocial has screwed up somehow.

I have the same problem ;/ Jedi Academy works fine. This game have Steam Play, so it should work on mac and pc.

I would think the same thing, this is steamworks game, so doesn't matter if you run it on mac or pc...

My helpdesk tickets at steam and stacksocial are over 48 hours and still no response...

So stack social sent me a refund and apologized, which is really awesome since I didn't even asked for that, also it means that they gave up of trying to fix this problem, but still question remains will there be any way to play this game at some point.

I got a reply from Steam support, but it looked like their generic "what to do if you have a connection issue" script (delete everything but your games so Steam can reinstall itself, check your connection issues on their connection checklist, etc.) None of it helped, sadly.

Hm. I have an old computer here... maybe I can download and install it on that, then use Steam's backup feature to transfer the downloaded installation to my current PC? Worth a shot, anyway.

Ya steam did the same just looked like copy paste like none of us know what we are doing. Stack did refund as well pretty classy from them.
