I suggest then (since you are less nervous, and it's completely harmless to experiment), that you try fighting Tavion, and perfecting your combat skills, THEN trying to fight her again for real.

EDIT: Actually, I think the command for god mode is "god". It's different in every game I've played. I'd try both of them.
A lot of it comes down to what kind of stance you choose. I never had much luck with the power stance. I'm pretty sure I went with the fast stance. The trick is to simply overpower them with hits, and once you get force push you can just knock them onto the ground and kill them, or use force speed with the speed stance and cut them up real quick.
There's a trick to it - try different methods. Don't forget to change up your stance and get good at swinging the saber. If you strafe left and right you do a horizontal swing - I had a lot of luck with jumping over them then stabbing backwards. It's slow but they'll sometimes run right into it.
