I mean, Jedi Academy is, IMO, the best sequel in terms of Multiplayer (its singleplayer is decent), I just wish we got a sequel to that either following Jaden in the Dark Side ending of Academy. Or maybe following Kyle in the Dark Side Ending and perhaps trying to have him save/stop Jaden.
The Light Side ending of Academy was really dumb, IMO.
Another thing we need is a KoToR 3. I finally, after owning the game for so long, beat Kotor 1 in June and it was AMAZING! ... I can't get through KoToR 2. I don't like the mood, the constantly depressing music. Hard to finish Telos Citadel.
However, back on topic, a Jedi Knight 3 would be cool. I'm just wondering what story it would follow or if it would make a new story?
On top of that, Dark Forces series was part of the old Expanded Universe that Disney purged with its purchase of Star Wars. I doubt many people who work there now even know what it is. Disney is entirely concerned with "their" version of SW which will feature all new characters. Kyle's role in stealing the Death Star plans was retconned as well as the version of Luke's successful rebuilding of the Jedi Order used in all the old EU stuff.
You might get a peak at the old stuff every now and then purely to capitalize on nostalgia. Like I think Kyle Katarn was added to a mobile gatcha game a few years ago. But I'm condifent we'll never get another Jedi Knight game. That niche has been "filled" by the Fallen Order series.
