STAR WARS™ Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast™

What good is the Wookie Bowcaster?
I'm aware it can show multiple projectiles when charged up, but the shots are still too weak to take out a single Stormtrooper. Is there a situation where the Bowcaster is a must?

The Wookie Bowcaster has an alternate fire that fires a single projectile that bounces off walls. It's useful for killing stormtroopers in cover.

That single projectile does pretty good damage, it's insanely accurate and is pretty big. So you can kill a guy very far away with it without worrying about missing your target like you would with the E11. And you don't have to stand still and scope in like with the sniper rifle. It strikes a balance between the two weapons.

Thats a very good weapon for a many people to take damage, or kill them

When you absolutely, positively, must kill every sonofab:clunk:ch in the room.

You can ricochet it off walls and charge the attack to shoot multiple bolts.

It's only really useful before you get your hands on the Disruptor (sniper rifle). The secondary fire mode is a pretty powerful and surprisingly accurate shot best used for taking out far away enemies. Other than that though, not much else is special about it.

The problem with the sniper is that you have to stand there like an idiot for a few seconds, completely blind thanks to the scope and easy to attack. Of course, I knew from Dark Forces that Katarn was going to be a jedi... and I think the biggest sign of it was the stormtroopers' aim.

Bowcaster's primary shot is pretty awkward and delayed in closer-combat. Use it in a situation where you can easily take cover and avoid enemy fire, as the delay between shots is longer than that of most of the other weapons.

No, I like to do it point blank. That way, the enemy shoots off into the distance as he falls down. Gotta love retro ragdolls...

Point blank is good, but you're vulnerable to any attacks from the side because of the slower recharge.
