STAR WARS™ Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast™

STAR WARS™ Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast™

Problem with shooting/hitting enemies.
Pretty much, I cannot hit anything unless I am completely standing still. Moving and strafing of any kind makes my blaster shots miss everything. JKII:JO looks and sounds pretty decent but this is ruining the game for me. Is there any mod or trick to fix this? DFII:JK Kyle would be ashamed if he tried this mess.

shwarts to the rescue!
try cg_dynamiccrosshair 0 in console.
that way, the cursor stays in the center and doesnt move like a regular FPS

(im assuming you are playing in third person)

I am playing in 1st person, but I will still try that out, thanks d00d.
missing is pretty easy, but you'll acclimate to the controls/game mechanics and get better after a while
I've been playing Dark forces I & II, Unreal Gold, Ultimate Doom and I've never had a problem like this. Even Daikatana accuracy was better than this. I am playing it on a 4:3 screen too. But, I will try out what you recommended, and report back.
are you getting low frames per second? cause that could be a huge problem i suppose.
No. it's running smooth as butter. it's very strange and frustrating. Not sure if Dynamiccrosshair helped yet.
Hello again. I am not sure if it's mind over matter, but that feels like it helped. Thanks alot Shwarts. :gordon:

heres a little practice drill that might help you understand the mechanics of the game.

find a tree or something that you can strafe around while shooting at it, and you'll see you have to aim to the side because your physical movement also translates to the shot.

so, if you are running left, you have to aim right of your target.

if you think SP is hard, try MP pistol duel ; )
Use the Shwarts Luke
