CD Keys are different than Steam game Keys, so that's why it won't recognize it D=
Hmmm... my original copy is all scratched too, but I am curious where the cd key is at as well. On or in the jewel case or on the instruction manual? The CD case I should have somewhere, the game manual, most likely not...
Besides not wanting to pay for the game again, I have heard that the "true light saber" mode, which is a cheat code you enable in console using the "~" key, does not work in the Steam digital version, which is a real bummer, as that mode is so fun and makes you feel like you are truly a Jedi swinging a real light saber around. It would cut limbs and even heads off instantly. It is really the only reason I had never bought the Steam version yet, because no one can confirm it works.
It is not just that it occasionally cuts off a limb, but that if you even have the light saber out and just "graze" someone with it, they literally fall apart! ^^! It changes the game play dramatically.
