serenity jedi engine 2021..

..I've followed the instructions to the letter, but the mod won't even start and I get this msg

Fs_failed to create path “c:/USERS/USER/desktop/documents/starwars serenintyjediengine” could not write crash log but we printed it to stderr. Try running the game with a command line interface.

The original instructions are also asking me to install academy and Jedi outcast without steam, and on my C drive instead of my D drive. Considering most people have steam now, can I get the mod to function via steam? Cheers guys.
