game wont launch

i try to start it up and it goes to black screen and then just goes back to steam. i verified local files and it said one couldnt be verified so it downloaded and now when i try to start the game it does the same thing and the file is no longer validated after each attempted startup

open the game files and drop it in

the open 32 thing only works for jedi academy for me, not outcast. any suggestions?

That open gl thing wont work for jedi academy, or outcast. I am confused, this game worked just last year, and all of my oilder games work "dark forces, dark forces 2, and mysteries of the sith"

**game is working now**
if you have nvidia graphics card, you dont need opengl32.dll so i removed it, and removing compatibility mode worked once i closed all 3rd party overlays, i slowly re-enabled them, and it turns out that discord, nvidia, razer, icue, ans steel series was fine. The culprit was windows speech recognition, that little grey bar with the speaker that you can minimize, but even if you minimize it, its still an overlay etc. I play Phasmophobia which requires that to get full function. Jedi outcast & academy cant handle it for some reason. Once i shut it off, they ran fine. I hope this helps people
