UPDATE THE GAME!
Seriously, I can't play this game on my computer that I got no more than a year ago. Update the game so people can play it again.

Use the OpenGL fix and it works fine. If you want to play a game on a computer buy a computer meant for gaming.

So... tell us something about your mom uhm no wait about your computer.

Still playable.

Development team has been disbanded, will never touch this again.

My computer uses Windows 10 and it plays a lot of other games just fine. I found out that this game wasn't meant to play on Windows 10.

Let me ask you something. First on the page for the game, it does not say you can play this with a Windows 10 OS. Secondly, if I have to download extra ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ just to get this game working (That's not why I paid for it moron) why can't the developers of this game do this themselves? Or why can't someone else take over and update the games themselves?

Am I missing something here? I shouldn't have to download extra ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to play a game I EXPECT TO WORK ON STEAM BY DEFAULT! Is it really too much to ask to just pay for a game and play it? I don't remember having to do stupid dumb ass things like this back when PC games were first introduced. Why can't the formula be the same?

Well one if you actually need it you probably have an intel graphics which can't run the game at all because of not supporting the rendering engine. So the opengl32.dll tricks the game into thinking you support it and allows you to play it.

The devs don't have to fix an already working game when AMD and Intel disable the old version of "OpenGL" the rendering engine of the game needs to function leads to a crash.

So in short. The fix is just a workaround, The game works fine on computers meant for gaming, Way back when most desktop tower computers came with actual dedicated graphics cards so there wasn't terrible integrated stuff, The dev can't do anything it is a hardware issue.

The dev doesn't owe you anything more when the game is perfectly playable on "gaming computers" we're luck ravensoft is keeping the multiplayer servers online.

Confirmed runs fine on my rig with win 10 just get something without intergrated graphics, it honestly sounds like you're not very computer saavy if us talking about one fix for your laptop to make it 100% playable is requiring you to respond like you do.

Supporting Windows 10 is not a requirement for a pre-existing game to remain on Steam. (I don't know if it'd be allowed, had the game been released now)

When it got released on Steam, the Windows 10 OS didn't exist (did the Windows 7 even exist at that point?), so tell me, why should a game released ages ago on Steam when the modern OS didn't exist be updated to be compatible with these when the dev team is probably either disbanded or on another proyect? Read the requirements, the release date of the games you wanna buy and see if its compatible with your current setup. Its just like now people complain that Witcher 2 does not run in their PC when their actual PC are crap and are not supposed to handle such a game.
PS: Most people do not have a problem with it btw, and if you do not want to take the extra step to DOWNLOAD a fix (not even make the fix yourself, just to apply it) then your loss.

^ This also I don't even think Win7 was out at that point when this game had it's steam release I could be wrong though.

It's not like there's no hope that it won't get updated. Tron 2.0 was recently updated to run on modern systems and they're both now owned by Disney.

You realize this game came out 15 years ago, right? Windows 10 wasn't even a twinkle in anyones eye at the time. The original developers have long been disbanded and what remains is working on Call of Duty Online (a game only available in Chinda). That being said, Windows 10 can run this, as I am currently running the game and using the Steam overlay to write this.

Also, if you think PC gaming hasn't always had issues with compatibility among different systems you are horribly mistaken.

This game has run on every single OS that it has been thrown at, if you cannot get the game to run then that is on your side, not the bloody game. So stfu moaning and accept the fixes people have thrown at you.

Besides, you havent even given us your PC spec, THAT would help to alleviate any trouble you have. FTR, I have everything in nVidia control panel set to the highest it can give and have the game running at 4k resolution, this is without any other third party addon to get it working...and I have never once had to install any third party addon to get it working. FPS is locked at 120FPS and it never ever drops a frame.

inb4 op was complaining about win10 but I run it fine on that os
