What, have I played it? Yes. How would I give this warning if I hadn't?
Trying to play a shooter with a controller without aim assist is an exercise in major frustration. You just don't have the same level of control as with mouse aim. Some people prefer to play shooters, with a controller, and without aim assist. I call those people absolute mad lads. I cannot think of any console shooters that do not at least have the option for aim assist. Early console shooters simply used out right lock on most of the time, like the older Grand Theft Auto games and Metroid Prime.
I played this the other day on the PS4 with a controller. It's bearable, and not so bad for lightsaber combat, but the worst decision of all was that they bound the crouch button to the left stick, which means that every time you want to stay crouched, you have to constantly push the thumb stick down...awful!
The PC version, when accounting for ease of mouse and keyboard, customization (mods etc), and superior visuals, is an infinitely better experience and is still by far the best way to experience this game.
