Yeah if you are already getting fed up with how obscure some of the puzzles it only gets worse further on haha. For reference when you walk down the tunnel towards the machine there is a very small door on the side of the tunnel you are supposed to duck into once you shoot the machine and it will shield you from the blast.
On the one hand, figuring something out with little to no direction can feel extremely satisfying. On the other hand, it can be extremely frustrating when you are beyond lost and have absolutely no idea how to go about things. That's not to say that a lot of the solutions to certain parts of levels aren't super fun, but that also doesn't mean that it can't be a major head scratcher.
Personally, the level I had the hardest time with was the one directly after Nar Shaddaa in the garbage plant. For some reason, that map is a complete and utter maze to me that I had to spend a considerable amount of time figuring out.
2. Lightsaber duels definitely feel very strange since there will be times where your lightsaber will go right through someone and they will take no damage and vice versa. Combat can also feel quite tedious at times, since it feels like you can never land a hit on them because they always block it perfectly, although I have found switching styles heavily negates that problem. It's also amplified by the fact that strong style is OP and practically turns any battle into a 1-swing insta win, since I beat Desann in 2 strong style swings. Turning on some level of dismemberment can definitely help, although it also makes the game significantly harder as not only can you instantly kill them, but they can instantly kill you with a dismemberment.
3. Jedi Academy was easier in the sense that they had made where you were supposed to go a lot easier to discern, as well as being able to choose your secondary force powers as you see fit. This is also amplified by having a lot of really useful force powers that Jedi Knight didn't have, such as protection/absorption, rage, and a lot of other abilities that gave you a massive edge in fights. The combat system was basically the same, but the things mentioned above had a significant impact on what made the game a lot more "user friendly".
wait, why would that be a bad thing to have way more jedi? - jeditrainer guy in the back of the cutscene
bahahaha.. git good. this game is the greatest of all time, god tier :) the fact you can spawn anything you want and they have 50 npc types means you can have infinite combos of battles to play all day every day.
Try playing on Jedi Master difficulty with Full Dismemberment without taking any Damage. Is it that even possible?
