No maps for the levels?

Is there any way to use a map in this game on single player? All the other Jedi Knight games had a map and minimap but I haven't seen any options for a map in this game. Also another annoying thing is when NPCs start talking to me I have to be facing a certain direction to even hear them or else they get so quiet I can't hear them, is there a way to fix this?

Try turning off EAX if its on for the sound. No there is no mini map/overview map.

There isn't an ingame map no. They got rid of the map function after Dark Forces 2/MotS
