In case you're going to complain about having to pay for it, keep in mind that the price is set so you end up paying about the same for the Steam version + the patch as you would for the full version.
The patch is specifically made for the steam version. If you buy the game on their website you get the full version, so no need for the patch. But on steam they can't sell the full version directly, so they sell a "limited" version on steam + the patch on their site.
