Level Skip
Really enjoying the game... for the most part.

A couple of the levels (the one with the Tesla Coil that destroys your tracks, and the long train one) I just find really frustrating and a chore. A lot of similar style games have a mechanic where by you don't HAVE to play every level, by having levels unlocked by stars, or hell, just letting you play the levels you want even without completing previous ones, and I really feel this game would benefit a LOT from something like that.

It's just annoying to be really enjoying playing the game, then come up against one of these levels that I do not enjoy playing, and have the entire rest of the game locked behind the chore of completing it. And while I don't have to complete the level well, these particular levels are also the ones where it's easier than normal to just fail it outright or find yourself with broken track in an important place you can't afford to fix.

TLDR Let me skip levels (or if you can already, someone tell my dumb ♥♥♥ how)

Cheers for providing a work around.

This doesn't work for me. I can unlock an unplayed level but i can't play it. I can't set any rails ... so this solution does not really work.

It would be nice to have the option to turn off the extra challenge to still play the map. Train Valley games are incredibly fun and addictive. I'm really enjoying them. I just played that Tesla Coil one last night, I loved the map but couldn't wait for it to be done since it was so annoying for me with the track destruction thing. I understand about the challenge, but feel the random destruction irritating and makes it not fun. Luckily there aren't many, or I hope not. The first one has the bombing planes, hopefully 2 doesn't have more than the Tesla Coil one. And thanks for creating a work around and thanks for the great games.

If you play in windowed mode, try switching to full screen

Thank you! We will discuss it.

Thanks for providing the work-around. Hated the Tesla level. (I turned off disasters in Sim City, too!).

I'm also ignoring the time limits -- I'm a relaxed player. I like the making money challenges, though.

I can't get five stars on level 10 and it's making me insane. I think I've failed at least two dozen times now. So frustrating. Should call this game "Rage Quit 2" lol.

Hello there!

You can skip levels using the game launch options in Steam:

  • Right-click Train Valley 2 in your Steam library games list, select Properties
  • In GENERAL tab find the SET LAUNCH OPTIONS text field
  • Type in -open-level 60
  • Close that window
  • And launch your game

This does not works after you get all DLC's installed.
