New Structure Deck EX: King’s Resonance!
A new Structure Deck EX is here! Structure Deck EX: King’s Resonance not only gives Duelists easy access to Jack Atlas’s signature Red Dragon Archfiend, but also introduces to Duel Links a powerful new strategy centered around Assault Mode Activate. Check out the powerful new combination of plays made possible by the latest Structure Deck EX!

Structure Deck EX: King’s Resonance introduces a bunch of new cards to Duel Links. Four of those cards – Psi-Reflector, Assault Beast, Assault Mode Activate, and Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode – work together to form an awesome combo that starts with Summoning just a single copy of Psi-Reflector. Here’s how it works.

Psi-Reflector is a Level 1 Tuner that lets you add an Assault Mode Activate or a card that lists Assault Mode Activate in its text from your Deck to your hand when it’s Normal Summoned. It also has another effect that lets you reveal a copy of Assault Mode Activate from your hand to Special Summon a monster from your Graveyard that specifically lists Assault Mode Activate in its text and increase its Level by 1 to 4.

Summon Psi-Reflector and use its effect to add the Level 4 non-Tuner Assault Beast to your hand. Assault Beast’s effect lets you discard it to the Graveyard to add a copy of Assault Mode Activate from your Deck to your hand. Once you do that, you can reveal Assault Mode Activate from your hand with Psi-Reflector’s effect and Special Summon Assault Beast back from your Graveyard as a Level 7 monster. That’ll instantly set you up for a Level 8 Synchro Summon! Tune the Level 1 Psi-Reflector with the Level 7 Assault Beast to Synchro Summon Red Dragon Archfiend. Then, you can Set Assault Mode Activate. By activating it, you’ll be able to Tribute Red Dragon Archfiend and Summon Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode – a monster with 3500 ATK that destroys all other monsters on the field after it attacks, and that Special Summons Red Dragon Archfiend from the Graveyard when it’s destroyed!

Since Psi-Reflector lets you add up to 4 Levels to the monster you Special Summon from the Graveyard with its effect, using its effect will let you set up a Synchro Summon that covers a wide range of Levels. In a pinch, instead of Synchro Summoning Red Dragon Archfiend and setting up a play for Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode, you can opt to Synchro Summon something like the Level 6 Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier; the Level 7 Black Rose Dragon; the Level 8 Stardust Dragon; or the Level 9 Vermillion Dragon Mech.

Each Structure Deck EX: King’s Resonance contains one Psi-Reflector, one Assault Mode Activate, one Red Dragon Archfiend, one Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode, and two copies of Assault Beast. By purchasing multiple copies of the Structure Deck EX, you can build a Deck that consistently Summons Psi-Reflector early in a Duel to get the combo started.

What do you think of Structure Deck EX: King’s Resonance and how do you think Psi-Reflector will fare in competitive PvP Dueling?

You know it's bad structure deck when Konami makes a post about it only a few days after release

Its a very fun deck to play but he have to many weakness .

Strengh : Can easily make good synchro and a big boss monster who can nuke the field.

Weakness : not enought defense , really weak against graveyard disruption (necrovalley , sealed tomb) , can brick (assault archdemon = death card in your hand) and if you don't open psychic , you pretty much can do nothing and can be easily disrupte before you dsucessfully summon a synchro.

Updated Repost:

I spent the 1000 gems for the deck ONLY to get another copy of Rose Warrior. Didn't plan to use the rest of the deck for anything.

But also it includes "Red Dragon Archfield", which is a "Signer Dragon", which gives it 3x damage in the Raid(s) vs. Immortal(s).

Still not using anything other than Rose Warrior and the Dragon, but dump the Rose Warrior (Level 4 turner) in an deck with other level 4's, and you can bring out the dragon for the extra damage in the Immortal event(s). :steamhappy:

(And one copy of the Structured Deck will only cost you gems, unlike trying to make a "real version" of the deck, which would require you to play cash for 2 extra versions to merge together to make something PvP worthy.)

I've already spent about $96 on this game within a few months, but I don't think this deck is going to be what will push it over $100. Structured Decks are usually the best purchases for your money, there are better things to get than a second and/or third copy of this.

On the other hand, there are so many cards in the game, maybe someone else will spot some good one to spoof this this deck up. As a F2P deck though, it's pretty bad. If you /only have one Assault dragon and draw it, then you can summon it "from the deck." So you really do need 2 or 3 copies. I suspect several of the other structured decks work better than this one as a F2P.

As a f2p, this EX seems overpriced. I think I will use my precious Gems elsewhere :]

Seems, u don't understand this game at all :ilike: There is no such thing as a "PRO" or a "NOOB". There are only META decks with 100% win ratio against non-META decks. U should learn how to respect other players.

Well, maybe this Event will back someday and I will get all 3 ^^

It will, they usually do 2 of these unlockable events then release the characters, whatever the cards you see in this event are they will automatically be the next event and when you have him unlocked in gate

I think it might be good if people who comment on Structured Deck explicitly refer to the "F2P deck", meaning what you do with the one copy combined with other F2P cards, VS the, I'm not sure what to call it - maybe the "Combined Deck" (or less accurately but more concisely
and maybe more popularly the "P2W" deck,) meaning what you can build out of 3 copies of the deck along other cards from that game.

The Structured decks all appear to be intended to be purchased in a set of 3, and then combined to make one or more variations of a complete deck out of the combination of the three.

Many people consider themselves F2P, and I think some of those people tend to contemplate the effectiveness of the cards in a Structured deck by thinking about what they can do with just one copy of it because the other copies are "Locked behind the Paywall."

What you can do with just one copy is "one subject", and is definetely of interest to many F2P players. What you can do with the combined decks is of interest to all serious players that might be concerned with opponents playing those decks, as well as the people who have, will, or might aquire all there (or possibly two) copies to be combined.

But my point is, that the discussion of the decks can be or remain more productive if people distinguish which "version" they're refering to. Of... and the "F2P" version is even a topic relavent even to less-than-high-tier P2W players, because it's something they're likely to face a lot in PvP.

Honestly, I have kept track of anyone being ambiguios here, but there have been some good serious discussions in-game that could really have benifited from the distinction. So I'm suggesting we try to follow some standard when discussing it.

If there already is some standard terminology to distinguish between the two F2P and combined ("P2W(?)") version, please let me know so we can go with that.

Thanks.

BTW, at least one long-time F2P KoG has expressed concern that the new deck is weak because you can't summon the Archfiend/Assault-Mode from the deckif you're unlucky enough to draw him. It's a very good example of how the F2P vs. P2W can vary, and I think it might be especially relavent to this deck.

I haven't contemplated this deck too much (yet(?)) but I'm wondering if other people think that it might be more dependant on getting 2 or 3 copies than other decks.

BTW, I suspect Konami had determined that the Silent Magician deck was especially useful when using cards from the single copy, (especially just adding the "Silent Magician" and the "Silent Magicain Lv8" into other decks) which I suspect is why it's not possible to buy even one copy as a F2P player. (But you can use the very limited Dream Tickets to get the "Silent Magician" and get the LV8 out a box while staying F2P.)

No, it was their first EX box and they wanted money. They got backlash, so they offered the next one for gems then money.
