Laser-sighted Handgun vs Semi-auto?

Is there any difference between the two, beside the sight?

Doesn't feel like it. Handgun upgrades apply to both, so it really feels like we just snagged a laser sight.

Read sth about the laser-sighted does more damage if the enemys are further away. Was on IGN i think

No. The sight+slight zoom increase are the only additions.

Which is GREAT for long distance shots, not so great when they charge you. I hotkey both and use the laser outdoors or in long narrow halls.
