Who else prefers using Rebellion or Devil Sword Sparda over Devil Sword Dante?
I'll be honest, I loved how V, Nero, and Dante each have unique gameplay styles, with Dante playing like his classic self, Nero's controls being a bit more streamlined, and V's just... well, anyway, I loved playing as Dante up until he gets the Devil Sword Dante - it sort of crams all of his Swordmaster style moves into the same button as his sword attacks, and while I feel that worked for Nero, I find it harder to pull off certain moves and combos. I'm just used to the DMC3 controls. I'm just glad you get the old swords back after the main story. I find SSS combos easier to pull off with them.

From what I've seen a lot of people still prefer Rebellion or Devil Sword Sparda gameplay wise (at least at high skill level play), but I felt like minus the loss of a couple of moves, the Devil Sword Dante was much better gameplay wise, personally. It's personal preference, I think.

The only thing Rebellion has over it for me, is the design. Rebellion looks way better than Devil Sword Dante.

I don't think i'll ever use rebellion again lol. First time i used devil sword dante, i fell inlove. I like abusing the air combo with its swordmaster style.

Nice. See, I couldn't get used to the new controls layout, so I cheesed some of Dante's fights. Now, I'm challenging myself to beat these bosses with the swords I know well. So far, I can get Urizen (mission 17) down to a quarter of health. It's all about the attack pattern and his tells (a poker term, I believe).

I also have an easier time parrying blade attacks with the Sparda and the Rebellion.

I much prefer the way DSD handles over Rebellion and Sparda because you get to use all of its Swordmaster moves without having to switch to it, it's just really convenient, and I can live without a dedicated Prop Shredder button.

UPDATE: As of today, I am now able to defeat Urizen and King Cerberus with the Rebellion and no continues!

I'm more about movement and flow so I like it better than Sparda but one thing i do miss about in DSD is a manual windmill attack as well as chucking the dang thing into an enemy's head. Maybe if they did circle movements like V's Royal Fork field finisher on both attack and stylemaster buttons then it would feel 100% in tune with my style.
