Stuttering issues still persist.
I have a GTX10603gb, i5-6400 along with 16gb ram and I'm stuttering like crazy even with DX11 and settings on medium.
Especially on Mission 1-3. Cutscene desync and gameplay stutters every few seconds.
Haven't seen the Opening credits scene work once. Not even on the cutscene viewer.
This is...bizarre. As I'm viewing players with similar stats on YT without having any of these problems. Even on Windowed mode it's stuttering.
Tested graphics settings with other games and I'm not getting any problems with them.

It seems RE Engine really dislikes quad cores.

Make sure you have all windows settings to perfomance and windows is fully up to date.

This.
Sorry, but it maybe time to upgrade to an i7. HT seems to help with RE Engine games.
Or do a full upgrade and get 8 core Ryzen!

have you tried unparking your cores? I wonder if that does anything for it. When I had trouble with csgo on my old i5, it did the trick. The cpu and gpu loads in this game are really pretty low. there might be a way to make this work. Solution might be on an re7 forum.

I doubt it. RE2 has the same problem. Quadcore i5s and Ryzens without HT/SMT tend to get FPS drops. I've yet to see any fixes for this.

My issue completely the same
Is this CPU bound issue ( Update graphic driver / Geforce Experience cant help it? )

My rig = I5 2400 + 1060 3Gb

Yes. As stated RE Engine games don't like quadcore i5s.

Alright, so I should play with lower settings until I upgrade.
I can deal with that. Managed to complete a playthrough once at least.

Although that doesn't explain how others with the same setup have no problem at all.
Guess it's down to luck?

Are you sure they're running quad i5s?

I'm positive. It was on their video descriptions.
Here's one for example
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwHWRr56D78 though it's an 15-8400

As well as other people just generally commenting that they have minor issues.

He was getting down into the 40s even on a 6 core i5.
Also this isn't the best example as he's mostly in one area. The FPS drops seem to be caused by background asset streaming when moving between areas. In a boss fight that isn't really happening.

Hey. how's it going? I made that video, the 1060 3gb got me more stutters than the 6gb version, it seems to be due to the vram, a few days after I made that video I found out that going with SSAO and high shadows instead of ultra helped out, after I lowered textures the game was much smoother, so I recommend you try that. Being vram limited in this game is no joke (unless you go with lower texture, shadows and ambient occlusion settings). I hope this helps!

That's why I tested the prologue and then I swap to the city area running in a straight line

Alright it helped.
I guess I'm good for a while before I upgrade. I'm fine playing with lower settings until then.
Thanks for the responses, lads.

try latest nvidia driver, i got 1060 3gb and i3 8100 can play ultra (volumetric fog off, HBAO+, shadows high) without stuttering. At first it's happen bcs DX12, after changed it to DX11 become smooth af
