Make sure you have all windows settings to perfomance and windows is fully up to date.
This.
Sorry, but it maybe time to upgrade to an i7. HT seems to help with RE Engine games.
Or do a full upgrade and get 8 core Ryzen!
I doubt it. RE2 has the same problem. Quadcore i5s and Ryzens without HT/SMT tend to get FPS drops. I've yet to see any fixes for this.
My issue completely the same
Is this CPU bound issue ( Update graphic driver / Geforce Experience cant help it? )
My rig = I5 2400 + 1060 3Gb
Yes. As stated RE Engine games don't like quadcore i5s.
I can deal with that. Managed to complete a playthrough once at least.
Although that doesn't explain how others with the same setup have no problem at all.
Guess it's down to luck?
Are you sure they're running quad i5s?
Here's one for example
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwHWRr56D78 though it's an 15-8400
As well as other people just generally commenting that they have minor issues.
He was getting down into the 40s even on a 6 core i5.
Also this isn't the best example as he's mostly in one area. The FPS drops seem to be caused by background asset streaming when moving between areas. In a boss fight that isn't really happening.
I guess I'm good for a while before I upgrade. I'm fine playing with lower settings until then.
Thanks for the responses, lads.
