Still No English VO?

Why is it that anime games tend to not have English Voice Overs... it's beyond annoying.

Haha but I'm a busy guy, I don't have time to read entire pages upon pages of possible "herr derr but Eng dub sucks anyway" as is the usual when people ask about it, my free time is spent gaming lol xD.

After playing AoT2... I will say it needs dub, I hardly ever get to read what they are saying during combat... same as AoT:WoF... But alas it won't happen xD... Hell I'd pay extra for English dub dlc haha.

If they hired an entire new cast call of people for VO work all these lines and combat grunts x10 x2 sexes, the price of the game would probably go up another 50%. VO is -not- cheap... >.<

While I understand it not being cheap... They have it for the Anime, what's the problem? All the cutscenes so far are just game versions of the anime. Besides the game is ALREADY more expensive than other games with multi language VO...

The problem is the game is already super expensive by most standards. Likely because of all the cast from the Japanese crew. Over there, CV's are on par with TV and movie stars. Including their price for work.
The only out I could see is if they made it a seperate DLC. But even then people would likely flip out about the Dub pack costing like $30 on top of the games already $60. And on their side, there is no guarentee enough people would opt to buy it to make up for the cost of producing it.

Because some people are helpful and actually answer questions? Hence saving me time. Posting a quick question/answer takes less time than reading all messages.

I agree with you Rampage, as I personally would buy a dub addon, were one available.
As I have said before, I prefer dub for the main reason of me not knowing Japanese, and I don't enjoy watching the subtitles instead of the actual anime/game...
My best mate prefers dub for the same reason...
In fact, all my other friends that watch anime prefer dub.
Hell if there was something like Crunchyroll that was for dubbed anime, I would pay for that instead of mooching off of free ad filled anime sites... As I would rather support the anime creators and VO actors.

You dont watch a lot of anime do you? i coulda saw this coming a mile away "well if its not dubbed its not good then" okay okay. there isint an official dub on like the top 5 selling animes this season unless you count fan dubs.

Like i dunno man i just prefer things in the native language whatever it may be. this reminds me of when pans labyrinth got backlash for having subtitles. maybe i've gotten use to reading subs over the many years because i dont find myself staring at the bottom of the screen much, i just read it off fast.

Unless you are a ultra popular anime you get a dub. that dosent mean the animes good or the ones that dont are bad. it just means your naruto level of mainstream.

- Enjoying Japanese entertainment media while not knowing much about the culture = weeb
