Most balanced
Scabbard- Whatever has high blade capacity and can be upgraded easily. After that, preference.
ODM- Whatever has highest anchor range and can be upgraded easily. After that, preference.
Thanks for clearing one of my joint development requests last night.
No problem lol
Anchor range, you'll notice. It's a game changer. Equip the Ancient ODM and pop a battle signal on a large, open map. High anchor range lets you traverse huge distances with absurd ease. And then there's being able to capture Titans when you're pretty far away. Those two boons will clear a map quicker than an extra 5 Strength/leadership/agility/concentration/dex/health ever would, multiple times over.
Sheath/canister is less an issue. When you have a map covered in factories, it's probably overkill. Might even be better to just go for gas pressure so you don't have to switch out tanks as often since that takes way too much time wheareas blade switchouts are nearly instant.
As for weapon, it may seem like "only" 50 sharpness, but that really translates to 25 reinforcement levels. A weapon needs to have an effect or a modifier like high blade length to make up for it.
Perfect is 750/100/750 and it's the canon look. Also extremely durable.
Cloud Zero is 850/200/470 lets you take out small titans from the front and occasionally kill/damage more than one titan in one sweep.
Gunblade is 900/100/50 so if you want to use it, either make sure you have 100% battle signal uptime, or +99* it so it becomes 1300/100/450 so it's actually usable in inferno.
Haven't had the chance to try out other interesting blades.
Personal preference is Cloud Zero. At +99* it's 1250/200/870
Scabbards:
Perfect is 750/750/3 and it's the canon look. Has balanced stats.
Wave zero at 680/850/2 is for high pressure if you can live with 2 blades.
Demon god at 480/900/3 is for high pressure if you can live with lower capacity and increased detection.
Personal preference is Demon God for higher pressure and an extra blade over wave zero.
ODM:
Perfect is 750/60/750 and it's the canon look
Camellia zero is 930/40/250 for high reel speed but v.low range and anchor strength
Demon god is 900/40/550 for higher anchor strength than camellia zero but at increased detection
Inferno Machinery is 700/95/485 for balanced range and reel speed. It's 9-star but I don't think there's another tier beyond this one.
Ancient/crescent if you want anchor range for open maps. I don't have materials to check the final version but the 9-star Crescent Gear is 410/150/600
Currently on Demon God ODM +99 for its insane airspeed, and you can fight comfortably without gas (!) You need to +99 it for 20 extra range, or if you somehow manage to +99* it it'd be even better at 80 range. Considering switching to ancient/inferno but I don't have their final tier stats yet. If you do use ancient/inferno, you'd probably want to use chain attack to zip between titans because your targeting range is so huge, so you can phase through their body and hit them where it counts.
Solar (full set) is likely the highest DPS in the game with the proper build. The Scabbard/ODM both are best-in-class just taking into account their stats alone. You don't lose anything by running the full 3/3 Solar set (which is a good thing, as Solar Sword needs to be 3/3 to be effective).
If you're playing optimally (abusing Manufacturing Factories and Battle Alert Signals), you'll find that both the Durability stat on Blades as well as the Max Blade stat on Scabbards are irrelevant. There's a couple DLC missions where the Gunblade might not be a great option, but even it's viable otherwise.
Judge Blades based on:
Sharpness = Effect (effect dependant) > Blade Length > > > Durability
Sharpness is the obvious important stat on Blades. Blade effects are important too... if that effect is on Solar/Gebrüllsäge. Blade Length is nice to have, with no real downsides. Durability, as mentioned previously, can be almost wholly ignored.
Judge Scabbards based on:
Gas Pressure = Gas Capacity > > Max Blades
The effect of Battle Alert Signal should always be active on you. If it's not, you're heavily handicapping yourself. Taking that into account, you may still have to change a tank out during a mission if you're using a low capacity Scabbard... maybe. This should be avoided at all costs, since tank switchouts are slow and time consuming. Gas Pressure is self-explanatory (go fast), and Max Blade capacity can be ignored for the same reasons given for Blade Durability.
Judge ODMs based on:
Anchor Range = Reel Speed > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Anchor Strength
Both Anchor Range and Reel Speed directly influence your travel speed and battle speed and in general translate to "go faster". Anchor Strength isn't a useless stat, per se, but compared to the other two it is.
- Shadow Falcon= Chance to insta kill, fast combo, low weapon lenght but i dont see a problem with that
- Demon God Scabbard: High pressure for fast movement
- Demon God Gear: High reel speed, anchor range is low but u want to be close up and personal with the Titans right
