Oh yes it is. By all means, i do not encourage piracy, but between piracy and overpricing, i choose the lesser evil. Especially if it is to fight the greater evil. And this is not an excuse to pirate a game. If the game had a decent price, i would have gladly buy it, but i will do anything in order to discourage these overpricing examples. Companies can handle those who deny buying their games (for there are always fanboys who would pay for anything). Piracy however hurts them more. So i would prefer to hit them where it hurts.
All piracy does is give them an excuse to use denuvo in the next game, just boycotting the game is the way to go imo
but one thing is for certain they will put denuvo regardless because they like to put it for some reason thats not pirating they may say or complain ironically about it but meh
conclusion:neither boycutting or pirating will work they simply don't give a single one on the matter its all about to maximize that profit yo
If they want to pay more money on protection because they refuse to lower the prices, well, let them pay it. I won't. I haven't download a pirated game since decades ago, and i own more than 200 titles, but as it seems some companies ask for it. And no, when a person willingly gives 70 euros for a game, his not honest. He is a fanboy and he certaintly does not respect his money. Fanboys are killing the busyness. They are the ones who would buy anything, making the companies more greedy. Not piracy. Not anymore.
calm down white knight. noone gaf
How does piracy hurt them more than a no sale? Either way Koei Tecmo doesn't see a dime. I guess one lets you pretend to be on the moral highground while still playing the game, while the other actually takes conviction and discipline.
"How does piracy hurt them more than a no sale?"
That is, how does piracy hurt them more than not buying the game? Either way they're not gonna get money.
