Combine tanks or seperate?

I'm playing on my switch so......... idk if it matters or not but what do you guys do about your tanks? Do you prefer to just make a few large takes with a bunch of different fish in them or a bunch of small tanks for each fish? I recently did a pretty massive redesign on my aquarium and have been having trouble getting to the next rank. I did do a lot of combining of tanks so I have a lot less. I'm not sure if that's the cause of my problem or not. Before it did seem that I made more XP having more tanks than less and it also seemed to spawn more guests since my facility was bigger meaning people would have to stay a big longer to see everything. So what do you do? Does it full matter in the end? Maybe I just gotta build some more fish or turtle a bit more.

The bigger the area the better as, yes it keeps peeps there longer. you lose your points when they leave, so single types of fish in each tank is better and spacing them out id good too

make sure when you redesign your aquarium you don't put fish they have already seen further back in the aquarium as you will get negative points as they have "already seen that fish"

Here is a question then: Does putting more of the same type of fish in the tank give more points then? If I have 3 eels in the tank do I only get points for 1 eel or all 3?

You can just have one fish in a tank but it looks bare, you also may get peeps saying the fish looks lonely.

Some fish need to be housed with other fish (description of needs in fish list), some also need a specific amount of their breed,
