Do you set up a special display case for the eggs?
I've recently been debating whether to exhibit my eggs or nurture them in an enclosed area, as they require more consideration in terms of the environment and the space they take up than a toilet.

Depends on how I'm building my aquarium, mostly. If I can fit it into the layout and I have a plan for what to replace it with when I'm done with breeding, then I'll usually display them. They give a decent chunk of points, especially if you're doing a big breeding project where you're getting eggs often.

Otherwise I'll just dunk the tank in somewhere it can fit and still get the babies fed.

I have one display tank with some of the guppy fry, the other tanks for eggs and fry are kept somewhere in the back.

For the Discus fish and Angelfish eggs I am using U-tanks, where I also store lots of bogwood in to keep the main tanks acidic - I don't trust the RO-machines, they always fail all at once and too late in the day to be repaired before 17:00.
So I have a display tank for discus fish and 3 bogwood tanks with Discus-breeding pairs.

It depends.

I'll frequently set up a "nursery tank" (or 2 or 3) in the beginning and use it for extra cash by selling off the baby fish. Eventually, things get too busy and the floor space is better used for more high-prestige fish.

Sometimes, I just don't bother with the hassle of doing breeding at all or I'll just sell the eggs/fry as soon as they pop into the parents tank. I've found that mortality makes it more profitable to sell them as soon as their born rather than to try for maturity if you don't have a dedicated nursery with very high water quality.

When I breed guppies (which I don't always do because it can become your whole focus) I did finally set up a display tanks for spawn after a long time of using backroom tanks. Guppies produce a lot of spawn and the tank can really rack up the ecology points--more sometimes than the adult guppies. In the end you do have to sell off a lot of the guppies just to keep the whole aquarium from being nothing but guppies. Just keep enough to get as many variations as possible.

I do the enclosed area, unless the parents practice brood care and are either alone or with fish that don't predate the eggs/fry.

If the adults don't practice brood care, and are large enough that they ignore eggs/fry (like the Piranha), I also let the eggs remain in the tank.

it depends. if the eggs and fry are at risk of predation by parents and other fish in the tank (guppies and the like) i will have a special rearing tank. if not, i just leave them in with the parents.

Always setup a separate 2x2 basic tank for eggs with combo filter and try to colour them the same as the 'parent' tank so I know what goes where. Then you know how many were birthed and can maintain the same number in the original tank and sell off any unneeded.
I would love the ability to colour tanks more simply/obviously than the themes now. Costs very little and takes up only 5 squares.
