Otherwise I'll just dunk the tank in somewhere it can fit and still get the babies fed.
For the Discus fish and Angelfish eggs I am using U-tanks, where I also store lots of bogwood in to keep the main tanks acidic - I don't trust the RO-machines, they always fail all at once and too late in the day to be repaired before 17:00.
So I have a display tank for discus fish and 3 bogwood tanks with Discus-breeding pairs.
I'll frequently set up a "nursery tank" (or 2 or 3) in the beginning and use it for extra cash by selling off the baby fish. Eventually, things get too busy and the floor space is better used for more high-prestige fish.
Sometimes, I just don't bother with the hassle of doing breeding at all or I'll just sell the eggs/fry as soon as they pop into the parents tank. I've found that mortality makes it more profitable to sell them as soon as their born rather than to try for maturity if you don't have a dedicated nursery with very high water quality.
If the adults don't practice brood care, and are large enough that they ignore eggs/fry (like the Piranha), I also let the eggs remain in the tank.
I would love the ability to colour tanks more simply/obviously than the themes now. Costs very little and takes up only 5 squares.
