I agree. I'd love a region icon. Maybe another hover-over option next to the info icon with a distribution map? Another option would be an additional encyclopedia type of ledger with each fish and their habitat and location. Sometimes I don't quite know if things like the plant requirement means they are found in kelp forests, grassy beds, or coral reefs and have to look it up.

Also, to anybody interested, this guide isn't dead, I just go through spurts with the game, so when I'm not playing it I'm also not working on the guide. Thank you all for your continued interest!
Make a tank with fish and plants from x region...
Indeed, that is a great idea! You could get a mission to create a South American (blackwater) tank with X South American species or a Malawi Cichlid tank with at least Y species in it.
