Rule of thumb is that lights can only be build on tanks with sharp corners. Belfast tanks and other rounded constructions, do not apply.

also, the dev/devs replied to this "issue" 6 years ago on a different topic ("bear with me" they said), and then addressed it a couple times more, but still no in-game tool tip to let us know about this limitation
- The original post was about the Large Tunnel Tank which had square corners but could not carry lights. This has been updated and can now carry lights.
- Regarding the separate issue of a tooltip letting the player know which tanks can carry lights, thank you for bringing this back to my attention. It won't make it into the next update as it's already past the translation stage, but I will try to get it into the one after that.
