Imperial Commando as a sequel

Hypothetically: If there ever IS going to be another RC game, should it be following the story of Omega and Delta squad? Should it take place after, or during Order 66? Anyway, I'm just sparking a disscussion here.

Given that the first 100 RCs were trained by Jango Fett personally. (Jango killed 6 jedi with his hands BTW.) I think the RCs would be able to kill Jedi efficiently.

The game was titled Star Wars: Imperial Commando and was based on the betrayal of Republic Soldiers, however the project only went as far as concept paintings, and was cancelled.[6]On April 28th 2011, it was announced that the sequel may still be in the works."

This is f**king sad, that would be master awesome, but got sucked by a blackhole togheter with Star Wars Battlefront III. I have all the 5 books, the 4 Republic Commando and 1 Imperial Commando (Guess what, the second one was cancelled). They are great and a Imperial Commando game would be really awesome. But seems that they don't want our money so IF EA ever do a Republic Commando sequel it will be Origin only and will be dumbed down to COD level.

Yeah, I read about IMPC 2 book (Imperial Commando 2 Book) being cancelled due to "Not being canon with the Clone Wars TV series." Wich we all know is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Here's how canon should go: Movies, books, games, comics, Television.

As for IMPC being Origin only. It's up to Disney to decide wether or not they want to lose sales. As for the game being degraded to COD levels, I don't think so. We know EA's Battlefield in terms of practicality, mechanics, and technolgy leaves COD in the metaphoricle dust. BUT as for keeping the serious, isolated, and expendable mood of RC (Not to mention the awesome squad mechanics.) we will just have to trust DICE with that.

Now, THE ORIGINAL Clone wars MINI-SERIES. That was good, and never conflicted to canon in ANY WAY. But, the CG animated series just defies all logic.

I agree with you. But there will be no 4 republic commando. I think you guys forget about ex-republic soldier, Sev. I suspect Sev will be main character.

In the books they do it with another squads, when someone dies they replace. The missions probably would be about chasing jedis and the turn point would be they deserting from Imperal Army and running for life. It is the most logical conclusion if you follow the books storyline.

That would suck if Sevy was replaced.

He'd have to be replaced if a sequel ever picked up with Delta Squad again. The Empire wouldn't have one of its Commando squads operating a man short. At least we might find out what happened to him. But, we'll probably never have the game anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Yeah, after each EA launch I think it is better not having a new Republic Commando at all than having a EAish game, with microtransactions, always online, crap quaity at launch and dumb mechanics/plot because they would want to sell it to 8 years old kids and so.

Either DICE's Battlefront is going to be REALLY GOOD. OR REALLY REALLY TERRIBLE.
