Commando with a sniper rifle (by implication) versus an officer with handguns? Plus Katarn-class commando armour is shielded. So I'm with the Captain.

Katarn-Class Commando armor is not shielded. That was only used in the Republic Commando video game, which is no longer deemed canon. In the TCW, clone commandos don't have shielded armor.

Never the less, katarn armor is MUCH stronger that standard clone armor. In the novel "Triple Zero" A clone commando lays down on a gernade and survives.

Yes I understand that Katarn armor is much stronger than a standard clone's armor. The Clone Wars(2008) espisode "Missing in Action' showed Clone Commando Gregor being hit multiple times by blaster fire and being unharmed. However I'm trying to use only canon material, which Karen Traviss's novels were not as they were deemed 'Legends'. However I agree with you that the Clone Commando would win due to his training and superior armor and weapons.

I'm ignoring disney's removal of the EU until they create a new one, so for now, all of that is true (because disney hasn't disagree with it)

Actually, how I understand Disney's override is that it's not "It's all wrong", it's "we're going to trample all over it". It's really not worse than what hapenned when the prequel trilogy overrode a portion of the early AU.

Captain rex is literally the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ best trooper ever, ♥♥♥ if u think he wouldnt win, he could ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rip off katarn armour with his bare teeth even with his helmet on and then eat a commandos ♥♥♥♥ off, and then blast the urethra through the body into the heart and out the mouth destroying the commando with shellshock and a blazing hot urethra, k?

A commando would win. The most advanced training CPT. Rex ever got was the A17 training. Commandos were specially picked from birth to have different genes and be trained by the best warriors that Jango could find. One of them is worth 100 normal troopers.
