STAR WARS™ Republic Commando

Super Battle Droids, Spider Droids, Magna Guards
Is there some kind of secret to killing these things in less than half an hour? They each have an absurd amount of health. I know about the red opening on the Spider Droid but that still barely deals damage.

I played the game, when it was freshly released. If I remember correctly, it is better to use your pistol either. It has somehow more damage then your standard rifle and better aim.

Either use your DC-17 anti armor attatchment for the SBD's, or if out of ammo use the sniper. And for the magna guards, (Depending on what key you set for this, my default is F) put your crosshair on the enemy and press your key that tells your squad to focus fire, it will also tell you the enemy's health. Hope this helped. :)

Oh and, if it's a Super battle droid dispenser, reccomend telling your squad to take cover, because I know for myself, on the Prossecuter, my squad got wiped out by a bunch of SBD's from a dispenser, they're really hard to get rid of.

EMP grenades for all of them and every grenade you got for spider, although the magna guards requires more timing

Huehue, I honestly am stuck on the assult ship's final hangar part, 99% of the time the squad gets gunned down running to the back of the hanger, and it's just me and sev holding the line.

I once had the lift coming, about 6 SBD's had spawned from a dispenser, sev got hit simultainously by 2 rockets, went down (HE was the only one left besides me) The lift got up, but I got shot before I could get to the area to enter.

Well, I don't know for sure, but it seems to me that the game follows the typical and much appreciated video game logic and that's: shoot anything that's bright.

For example, it seems that aiming (sniper rifle) for the bright dot on the exposed Super Battle Droid plate results in greater damage. I don't know that for sure, but anyway shooting the exposed parts with no armour plate is more efficient. Another thing is that you can run around a Super Droid while hitting him with a knife - looks silly but works everytime unless he has some company.

Spider Droids also have a bright weak spot. And you can usually order your team to hit such a droid with everything they've got - it's great if they've got some cover.

And when it comes to Magna Guards: I just kept my distance and hit them with the most powerful stuff I had.

The best way to deal with more bullet spongey enemies is to tell your squad to focus on each one indivdually by pressing the f key while pointing at the enemy you want dead. The sniper rifle is good for SBD's as are regular, proximity and emp grenades.

With super battle droid, throw an EMP grenade to stunn them and have your squad focus fire on them. With Spider droid use lots of explosive ammo and have squad member in cover. With the Magna Guard, when they are flying in the air, throw an EMP where they are going to land and unleash everything you got against it.
Really the EMP just works great against all droid.
