For example, it seems that aiming (sniper rifle) for the bright dot on the exposed Super Battle Droid plate results in greater damage. I don't know that for sure, but anyway shooting the exposed parts with no armour plate is more efficient. Another thing is that you can run around a Super Droid while hitting him with a knife - looks silly but works everytime unless he has some company.
Spider Droids also have a bright weak spot. And you can usually order your team to hit such a droid with everything they've got - it's great if they've got some cover.
And when it comes to Magna Guards: I just kept my distance and hit them with the most powerful stuff I had.
Really the EMP just works great against all droid.
