I tried restarting my computer; didn't work. I went through a bunch of Steam's suggestions, like purging the downloads cache, verifying games files, repairing the game folder; none of that worked. I tried uninstalling then reinstalling the game and that didn't work either. I even tried running as admin but the menu it takes me to demands I inset a disc before I can play it. I'm at a loss at what to do about this.
That's what I thought, but I'm only running Microsoft Secuirty Essentials and that hasn't detected anything like that. My Mcafee subscription has been expired for a long time.

It's a debugged version of the missing .exe. file. All you have to do is download this zip file from the link above, then extract BOTH files in the zip (debug.dll and debug.exe) to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Republic Commando\GameData\System. Once you do that, start the game by clicking/opening the Debug.exe file. It worked for me and everything's been running smoothly, but you have to boot it from the Debug.exe file every time, not through Steam.
After doing this is there anyway to configure a game controller to the game
