Game breaking bug

This happened on a repeat playthrough (trying to get all the collectables).

Early in the game there is a box that has a magnet and a strange lock piece in it. I took the magnet first, and then was clicking around avoiding the lock piece checking to see if there was anything else in the box. Something I did closed the box and it was removed from both the scene and my inventory, leaving me with no way to get the lock piece required to continue.

Except by creating a new profile and thus have to start over again, with a probable chance the bug might return ago ....
How early is that? i started playing the game and so far so good.
I am at the part where i have to find the witness, i had the cookies for the dog, i helped the old man with his dog to return to his appartment....

is that magnet before all that or after ?

I will try to see if i can recreate it ... (have to make a new profile in the game )

If you got through the gate, you should be fine - I think that's where the dog cookies are? This was pretty early in the gameplay and I was doing stuff looking for collectables I missed the first gameplay.

I did end up making a new profile and completed it. People might want to be careful to just grab the magnet and the lock piece abd not click around too much...

Yes i did... so i guess i am past the possible 'bug' or 'glitch'?

i have so many casual games and still need to play 90% of it
but i will play them .... eventually .....

Something similar happened to me, except it was later on in the game when I reached the psychiatric ward. I combined a stick and a rubber band to make a slingshot, and the game immediately removed it from my inventory.

Is restarting with a new save file really the only way to fix this bug? I'd much rather not have to start from the beginning again, since I'm a good ways into the game.

I ran into one in the HOP where you get the lightbulb. My item bar, when I grab stuff seems to go off screen. Then when I need something (like to open the drawer) I can't get it. I have tried switching screen resolutions, restarting game and still not there.

also i have problem in psychiatric hospital, i grab two keys of three, one from files and another one i dont remember from wich places, now i find third and i can't find it so i watch video solution on YT and keys was in green bags on cage with basketball and in guard sack but i don't take the third key and its disapear??

Late in the game in a HOPs scene looking for 12 keys, the 10 key is hidden among some scissors, pills and an inhaler. The HINT button circles that exact area, but no matter how much i click, the game will not acknowledge finding that KEY! Super Frustrating in an otherwise great game.

I'm in the limbo area for a second time in the game and it glitched to the point where the last piece I need to unlock the door has disappeared. I'm basically stuck and can't move on. It's way later in the game and I really don't want to start all over again, it's upsetting
