Betrayal of Thaeylan, 2p (1.12)
Troubled Times, 3p (1.12)
1.12 campaigns are incompatible with 1.14 it seems. What a shame.
If you really love gameplay at the expense of everything else, it can last you months and in my experience it's just as fun in multiplayer and in singleplayer (though I admit that I like multiplayer with a slightly weaker -but not totally lost- partner to make the game more exciting due to giving a 2v2 balancced computer an extra advantage.
I think WC II has huge singleplayer and 2P potential, although I admit that I find getting a 3P session running is something I haven't tried (or seen in the lobby) in a long time. It's all battles, with almost no RPG, but I can vouch that it's quality is top notch and it's randomized enough to be very replayable. It does have a few problems things like possibly unfinshed loyalists/undead faction that cheat the intended alternate recruit design and the first few maps losing their edge if you replay it enough.
As for WCII, we are currently working on a slow campaign through that. The custom factions make it sometimes seem really unbalanced (the AI almost constantly gets nothing but lvl 3 drakes and it's getting boring), but we haven't tried to play it with other Eras. Maybe I will try WCII with Heroes Era. Thanks for the information
