Are the voices still active?

A friend and I have been really enjoying this game and just found out about the enhanced horror option, so we were wondering if the voices still interact with the players or not. Since this game isnt the most active we wanted to know before we get our hopes up too much

The game isn't "dead". There's still a dedicated player base. The voices still visit. The pandemic slowed down these visits somewhat but they're looking to ramp up again. The more you play, the more likely you are to be visited. The visits are *supposed* to be an every-so-often event for players. I assure you, when you get that first one, you'll feel the type. :) Insofar as the underground "maze", be patient with it and look up the Maze Map. It'll give you a basic idea of how the areas are set up. The above-ground and below-ground areas do not change in design, they just expand. Once you know the layout, you're home free! Definitely join the discord and let veterans join your co-op games! A lot of us are friendly and will happily show you the ropes.

Join their discord and you will see just how active it is. Visits currently are rare as there is A LOT of people who play solely in the times they are visiting. They also seem to prioritize 3/4 player groups over 1/2 player groups unless those 1 or 2 are sacrificing a lot of exp to a voice or are just very active on asking lore questions.
