We spotted a strange moving (what we then thought) AI, then we saw he was named Stalker and thought, new enemy? Lets avoid like the plague!
It was no problem avoiding him and finished our mission like usual only to get the info about the stalker system after the mission, that's the only part we found odd.
Maybe the player playing the stalker didn't know what he/she was doing, because we never saw the stalker again and did not get notified that we were recorded or something.
We like the idea of the stalker but will choose not to play that mode simply to prevent any grieving (simply highly likely due to being a new system with possible bugs and exploits). We like multiplayer co-op, not versus (leaderboards are of course fine).
Nice co-op game, creepy and occult, this will xplode in steam records.
Stalkers can't invade you until level 5, which is hardly 'your first game experience'.
However, once you have been invaded 1 time, you will earn a Stalker Dossier to try out this mode yourself. You will NOT be invaded again until you use this Stalker Dossier to play as a Stalker.
This way, everyone gets an opportunity to experience the stalker once, but if it's not something they are interested in, they only have to get invaded once.
NOTE: In order for a stalker to invade your session (even the first time), the session's Host must be at least Level 5 and there must be at least 2 players in the session. Low-level players and solo players cannot be invaded by a Stalker.
Hope this helps clarify!
Thank you.
And who knows, maybe he did get caught after, or he just threw another flash and was fine.
