The Shape is an AI, as are all the Sleepers and Lucids. The only player-controlled enemy is the Stalker who acts more as an informant to direct enemies than engage directly with the kids. The Stalker will invade silently into an eligible mission and be able to record some of the sins the kids have committed to help bring the Shape out.
