I also got powerbombed from above again. Four times out of six (I've not gotten enough Dossiers to be able to say "x times out of ten"), that's what happens. Seems if you have the high ground on a Stalker, you can guarantee an easy catch. Hell, I've jumped from the ladder in 920 Ob on top of one myself. And in the last session, someone divebombed me from the top of Crypto to the carpet. It's so easy a monkey can do it.
But if the Stalker has the high ground and a prey in view, the cameraphone doesn't reach nearly far enough (in Crypto Library, the top gangwalks and the chest in the middle of the next tier down is too far, even though the camera demonstrably has an effective focal range of more than ten feet. I'm not asking for an infinite focal range (so as to be able to camerasnipe someone from across the map), but in a face-to-face confrontation, the Stalker loses, and absolutely none of their skillset permits escape (unless the RNG deigns upon you at least one fuϲking energy bar) or self-defense. And you are (apparently) not allowed to attack an assailant from the front, so you can't hit them with a dart. But they can.
Does it also not occur to the Stalker to scream for help at the Sleeper milling about eight fuϲking feet away when they're being captured? Because it doesn't seem like it. For being an agent of SPEAKASONE, they're mechanically very incompetent. They're having their wrists zip-tied together, they're not being gagged, for Christ's sake.
Only one time I've been captured as a Stalker is by the players coordinating - by one being recorded and the others getting up behind me. The other times, I've been fallen on from above, or completely overwhelmed by flash bangs and launched darts. I admit, this is more of a case of "get good" (I'm trying, but for reasons described in an earlier reply to this thread, that's not an opportunity that comes often), but the Stalker is immediately crippled - if they manage to join a game at all, they are automatically disadvantaged by being outnumbered while still being a normal child.
This should be a fun diversionary game mode? So why isn't it? Because the Stalker isn't afforded any of the benefits the players are. Their stamina is permanently nerfed because they don't have The Power Of Friendship™, they can't defend themselves as a player can, and the main mechanism by which they function requires them to place themselves in grave danger (or chance upon an incapacitated AI or kicked-in door). They can't even see their escape routes very well (red doors), requiring the player to know the map front-to-back
With the degree to which the Stalker is put at such a disadvantage I'm surprised you let the Stalker use items, to be honest. Just because the van computer says "YOU WILL BE CAUGHT", it doesn't make that a fair or exciting conclusion. Being against a Stalker is not an unsettling, tense, or unpredictable situation. It's "Can I see the Stalker from up here? If I can, we win. Can we see them from down here? If we can, they can't do anything to us." As a club teen, the Stalker is a tedious distraction - a bonus objective to thwart. As a Stalker, it is an exercise in anger management.
I'm putting my suggestions here because there is no indication that the developers or moderators have ever read any suggestion thread or bug report I've put forth. If it's in a topic they made, they pretty much have no excuse to not notice what's being said - they get New Comment indications just like we peons do.
Why does a foil card cost at least 5.11 dollars?
