Symbol meaning
What does this symbol with "3" mean between "power 400" and "4-6-0 Baldwin" ?

There is a birthday cake with candles near that "3".

Are there to many track sections? I'm playing in the 3rd era now and didn't have this sign yet.

I'm not entirely sure, but it might indicate a change in rail type (from slow to fast rail)

Those triangles indicate missing track connection within complex crossing.

If you build complex crossing, sometimes player forgets to connect some tracks and if he has train which needs that particular track, it shows "can't find path" error. And in complex crossing with perhaps poorer monitor resolution, it is often difficult to find the missing connection among all the switches. These triangles will show the two tracks which are NOT connected in such crossing.

Okay, maybe I build these track crossings too narrow. Although the trains seem to have had no problems using these so far. Have to experiment.
